The ECB has announced a review into the structure of men’s domestic structure which could see the variety of County Championship matches reduced to 12 from as early as 2026.
The findings of the review, which can have greater involvement from the counties than 2022’s Strauss report, are more likely to be announced in two to a few months and 12 out of the 18 counties might want to vote in favour of any changes.
