Range Music is launching a composer division, the corporate announced on Thursday, bringing on veteran agent Jeff Jernigan as the brand new division’s first official hire.
Jernigan involves Range from Kraft-Engel Management, one of the vital distinguished composer representation corporations within the business. Before Kraft-Engel, he worked at BMG Music Publishing, in addition to at performing rights organization ASCAP. Jernigan’s client list includes composers Steve Price (Gravity), Tom Howe (Ted Lasso), Raffertie (The Substance), Brandon Roberts (Andor), Joseph Stephens (The Righteous Gemstones), Disasterpeace (It Follows), and Helen Park (KPOP), in addition to music supervisors Amanda Krieg Thomas and Steven Gizicki.
“It’s an incredible time for music in media, and Range is an ideal home for those creators,” Jernigan said in a press release. “I’m extremely excited to construct a vibrant representation business with the unparalleled flow of knowledge and opportunity that this company and team provide.”
Jernigan had worked with Range previously, specifically with Range’s co-president of film & production, Fred Berger; Berger produced La La Land and A Complete Unknown, each of which had Gizicki serving as music supervisor. Range Media Partners‘ music division manages artists, songwriters and producers including Jack Harlow, Noah Cyrus, Shaboozey, Saweetie, Dylan Gossett, Sean Douglas and Wondagurl.
“We couldn’t be more enthusiastic about launching this recent expert offering inside Range Music,” Berger and Range Media Partners co-founding Managing Partner Matt Graham said in a press release. “It’s a natural fit for us as we expand and evolve our music representation business and given our deep commitment to music-driven storytelling. As the primary hire for this division, Jeff brings with him a wealth of data, an incredible roster, and vast experience working along our Film division, and we’re thrilled to be joining forces.”
