Parth Samthaan’s entry into CID 2 as ACP Ayushman sparked mixed reactions, especially amongst fans loyal to Shivaji Satam’s iconic portrayal of ACP Pradyuman. While many were curious to see Parth in the brand new role, the joy was short-lived.

Parth shared that he’s stepping away from the show because of prior work commitments. Speaking concerning the show, Parth said to Pinkvilla, “It’s been an absolute pleasure to be a component of a cult show like CID, even when it’s only for a temporary period. I used to be on board for just a few episodes only, a guest appearance, but later got prolonged for a few months. Initially, we couldn’t give any confirmation on the identical as it might have spoiled the joy of the show. And now with Shivaji Sir’s return, that thrilling twist concerning the mole can be unfolded very soon.”
He added, “Anyway, I actually have other work commitments lined up; hence, I won’t be continuing for long. But yes, I’m grateful for all of the love and support the audience has shown during my temporary stint.”
The second season of CID premiered in December 2024 and is currently streaming on SonyLIV.
