Tyson Fury told the media today that if he does return to boxing, he’d need a trilogy match against Oleksandr Usyk in England because he feels he must have won their rematch last December.
Fans Reject Fury-Usyk 3
Fans on social media are more fascinated by seeing ‘The Gypsy King’ come out of retirement to fight Anthony Joshua in a domestic mega-fight. They already watched Fury lose twice to Usyk, they usually don’t have any confidence in Tyson’s ability to win a 3rd fight.
Usyk is just too good for him. There’s rather a lot more interest in a Fury-Joshua fight than seeing Tyson get schooled a 3rd time by the far technically expert and agile Usyk. Fury seemed to be a middle-aged man, much older than his chronological age of 36, of their rematch. If I didn’t know Tyson’s true age, I’d have mistaken him for an individual over 50 years old.
The rivalry between Fury and Joshua has been there since AJ began his profession in 2013. People within the UK have repeatedly asked for this fight, but Tyson has turned a blind eye to it, selecting to fight other fighters less talented and safer for him. There’s no other way of taking a look at it apart from to see that Fury ducked the Joshua fight for fear of being knocked out.
Pathetic Fury: Usyk Defeat Denial
“If I used to be to return back, I’d come back for Usyk, but I would like a good lead to England,” said Tyson Fury to the media today, talking about who he’d fight IF he were to return out of retirement. “That might be the fight I’d want next. “I would like a good fight and a good result, which I do know I didn’t. I believed I won it by five rounds.”
As we see here, Fury doesn’t wish to confront the reality that Usyk soundly beat him. So, he’s trying to vary the narrative, saying he must have won by five rounds, and needs the trilogy in England to make sure he gets a “fair result.” It’s utterly pathetic.
