Eddie Hall called out by 58-year-old legend after 30-second KO win over fellow World’s Strongest Man

Eddie Hall’s seek for an opponent began immediately after his debut win.

The 2017 ‘World’s Strongest Man’ enjoyed a massively successful MMA debut at KSW 105 in April.

Eddie Hall knocked out Mariusz Pudzianowski, who’s a five-time ‘World’s Strongest Man’ winner and 28-fight MMA veteran, in only 30 seconds.

Post-fight, he talked up a rematch before turning his attention to a possible clash with Francis Ngannou after previously distancing himself from a fight with the previous UFC heavyweight champion.

Butterbean calls out Eddie Hall

Boxing icon Butterbean – real name Eric Esch – is coming out of retirement in 2025.

Jake Paul is at the highest of his hit list, which also includes heavyweight legends Brock Lesnar and Mike Tyson.

Butterbean suffered a humiliating 75-second defeat when he fought Pudzianowski in MMA 15 years ago.

Still, the 58-year-old fancies his probabilities in a rematch with the Polish superstar or the person who recently beat him.

“I’d like to fight Pudzianowski again,” Butterbean said during an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow.

“I’d like to fight Hall, too. If Hall desires to fight in a boxing match, I’m game.

“If he thinks he’s tough, I’d show him who’s tough.”

Butterbean rules out MMA comeback

Butterbean insists a fight against Eddie Hall would want to happen under boxing rules.

While declaring a ‘crazy’ rule is all that prevented him from fighting within the UFC during his MMA run, Esch revealed he’s had double hip alternative surgery that forestalls him from ever returning to the game.

“I fought in Pride, K1, and Cage Rage. I fought in just about all of them except the UFC because they’ve this crazy rule that you will have to be under 265lbs,” Butterbean said.

“Come on, guys. Now I could get there. I’m at 280lbs immediately, and I could get all the way down to 260 in the event that they would let me fight. But with my latest hips, I can’t fight UFC.”

It’s currently unclear if Hall would entertain a boxing return after previously losing to Thor Bjornsson in his 2022 ring debut.
