Colin Jost is taking Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey’s recent PDA in his stride!
The Jurassic World Rebirth costars made headlines last month after they greeted one another with a kiss on the lips at various red carpet premieres to advertise their dinosaur blockbuster. Based on Jost, nonetheless, he has nothing to fret about.
“I assume in Jurassic Park terms, the attack all the time comes from the raptor you never thought was there. Of all of the threats on the market, I wasn’t considering it was Jonathan,” Jost, 43, quipped in an interview with Entertainment Tonight published on Thursday, July 10.
“I believe it’s going to be OK,” the Saturday Night Live star continued to joke. In any case, he noted, “Jonathan is an out gay man. It didn’t seem to be the largest threat.”
Turning more serious for a moment, Jost said, “People really blow it out of proportion when someone kisses their friend hello.”
Should there ever be a sequel to Jurassic World Rebirth, the comedian joked that perhaps we’ll see him smooch the Bridgerton heartthrob, 37, on the red carpet as an alternative of his wife.
“Jonathan and I, on the red carpet, we were like, ‘I assume we’ve got to kiss now? Is that what happens? Close the loop?’” he said.
Bailey recently addressed his viral moments with Johansson, 40, telling ET, “I imagine in having the ability to show love in all alternative ways. And in case you can’t kiss your folks … life’s too short to not.”
For his part, Jost was on the red carpet with Johansson and Bailey on the Jurassic World Rebirth premiere in Latest York City on June 23 and couldn’t take his eyes off his wife.
Just months earlier in May, it was Johansson and Jost who packed on the PDA on the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
The couple shared a sweet kiss during a screening of Johansson’s directorial debut, Eleanor the Great, on the French festival on May 20.
Jost and Johansson began dating in 2017 and tied the knot in October 2020. The couple share a son, Cosmo, 3. Johansson can also be the mom of daughter Rose, 10, whom she shares with ex-husband Romain Dauriac.
The Oscar-nominated actress made rare comments about Rose in June, saying she’d be comfortable together with her daughter watching Jurassic World Rebirth.
