Jadon Sancho is closing in on a move to Juventus after a €20 million (£17.3m) deal was agreed with Manchester United, in keeping with reports in Italy.

United have been seeking to offload Sancho this summer after Chelsea turned down the prospect to sign the winger for £25 million and paid a £5m penalty fee to send him back to Old Trafford.

Sancho had reached a verbal agreement with Napoli last month however the Serie A champions refused to fulfill United’s €25m (£21.3m) asking price.

In keeping with La Stampa, Juventus had a ‘positive’ meeting with United this week over a deal for Sancho and a €20m (£17.3m) package has been agreed.

The report claims that Sancho has also agreed a contract with Juventus value just over €6m (£5.2m) a 12 months.

Nonetheless, United and Sancho haven’t agreed a severance package and the25-year-old is demanding a minimum of €5m (£4.3m) so as to leave Old Trafford.

Sancho has informed United about his desire to maneuver this summer and the club have told the winger that he didn’t must report back to pre-season training this week.

Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Antony, Tyrell Malacia have also been granted additional time to resolve their futures, although Rashford made a surprise return to Carrington on Monday.

Sancho, who still has a 12 months remaining on his contract with United which is value £300,000 every week, made the move to Old Trafford in a £73m deal from Borussia Dortmund 4 years ago.

Dortmund have also been linked with Sancho this summer however the Bundesliga club have distanced themselves from a move.

‘In fact, contact with Jadon is at all times there, in a roundabout way, because we now have a really long history,’ Dortmund’s sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, told Ruhr Nachrichten.

‘But that’s not a difficulty for us at once. We have now other priorities in the meanwhile, and that’s why the Sancho issue could have been more talked about within the media than internally.’
