Amanda Nunes vs. Kayla Harrison could arrange one other massive UFC title fight.
Rumors have already began to flow into around the following women’s bantamweight title fight, which the UFC fans caught a glimpse of during International Fight Week.
Harrison, a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist in judo, became the brand new champion of the world at UFC 316, when she submitted titleholder Julianna Pena within the co-main event.
Post-fight, Harrison called out the formerly retired women’s MMA ‘GOAT’ Amanda Nunes to a super-fight. Nunes obliged and gave her former teammate a face-off within the Octagon.
As we wait for confirmation on Nunes vs. Harrison, a legendary champion has voiced their interest in fighting the winner.
Cris Cyborg still chasing fights with Amanda Nunes, Kayla Harrison
Cris Cyborg is up there with Nunes in ‘the best of all time’ conversation.
Cyborg has titles in UFC, PFL, Bellator, Strikeforce, and Invicta. Cyborg lost her UFC featherweight strap to Nunes at UFC 232 in 2018, which was her first loss in 13 years.
Cyborg never got the prospect to rematch Nunes, nor did she fight two-time PFL champion Harrison following the PFL’s acquisition of Bellator in 2023.
Nearing the tip of her profession, Nunes says it’s higher late than never to fight them.
“Gimme the winner,” Cyborg wrote on Tuesday, underneath a post teasing Harrison vs. Nunes.
The rumors of Nunes returning against Harrison at UFC 323 are usually not confirmed. The promotion has yet to make any official announcement regarding Harrison vs. Nunes.
When is Cris Cyborg fighting again?
Cyborg is currently signed to the PFL and has a minimum of one fight on her current contract after beating Brazilian champion Larissa Pacheco in October.
So, no, she wouldn’t have the ability to fight the winner of Harrison vs. Nunes unless she got out of her PFL contract and re-signed with the UFC, which is unlikely to occur.
Cyborg is currently targeting a fight with 3-0 Bellator fighter Sara Collins.
Cyborg doesn’t have a fight date lined up yet. She recently shut down a fan saying she was fighting at PFL Pacific in December.
“Won’t be in Australia or in December,” Cyborg said on X.
The all-time great is coming off a boxing win over Precious Harris-McCray in May.
