Ishita Dutta, Vatsal Sheth, Karan Tacker And Others Pay Their Last Respects To Pankaj Dheer
As reported by Hindustan Times, the co-stars of the late actor have paid their last tributes.
Arjun Firoz Khan
Arjun Firoz Khan shared, “He was considered one of the best gentlemen I’ve ever worked with in Mahabharat, and truly a remarkable human being. He might be deeply missed. We were school contemporaries—though in numerous schools, we used to play cricket together. Pankaj had an infectious smile that made everyone around him feel glad and comfortable.”
Karan Tacker
Karan Tacker recalled, “Pankaj ji was the primary senior actor I had the privilege to work with in Rang Badalti Odhani. He treated me like a son, with a lot kindness and affection. His passing was a shock, but he’ll at all times be remembered with love and respect. My deepest condolences to his family.”
Ishita Dutta
Ishita Dutta shared her feelings, “Hearing the news gave me goosebumps. Working with him was a privilege. He used to bring sandwiches from home only for me and would at all times avoid wasting home-cooked food for me. Everyone who worked with him knew what an incredible person he was. Sadly, I only met him once after the show, and it reminds us how short life is. My prayers are along with his family.”
Vatsal Sheth
Vatsal Sheth expressed his sorrow, “It’s very shocking and sad. I had the honour of working with him in my first film, Tarzan and on a show with Ishita. We spent numerous time together in Goa, where he at all times made sure everyone was comfortable. He would bring buttermilk for the team each day, even in the warmth.”
Tanuj Virwani
Tanuj Virwani reflected, “I worked with him on Poison in 2019. Though we only shared two days on set, he was an exquisite, sporting co-star. He knew my mother, Rati Agnihotri, and was very courteous to me. He would rehearse lines with me before scenes. I’m saddened by his passing, especially since I grew up watching him. I had no idea he was battling cancer, and his loss is an enormous blow to the industry.”
Beyond his legendary role in Mahabharat, Pankaj Dheer appeared in popular TV series like Chandrakanta, The Great Maratha, Kanoon, and Sasural Simar Ka. His notable movies include Saugandh (1991), Sadak (1991), Baadshah (1999), Soldier (1998), and Tarzan: The Wonder Automobile (2004). His last rites might be performed at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai’s Santacruz at 4 PM today.
