Influencer Kat Stickler has something to say about her relationship status after her recent dates with John Mayer.
“Kat, are you single?” an off-camera friend asked Stickler, 30, in a Tuesday, October 14, TikTok video.
Stickler, for her part, quickly shut down any questions on whether she had a brand new man.
“Yeah, I already told you [that I’m single],” she said while putting on earrings. “I cut all my hair off — out of the blue in the future. You’re thinking that I just did that for no reason? It holds memories.”
Stickler added, “Look, at the gap between my shoulder and my hair? OK, I assumed you knew me higher than that. This was a cry for help.”
Stickler recently chopped her long locks into an elegant bob, which she quipped on Thursday was a “tell-tale sign of a relationship gone bad.”
“When a haircut isn’t JUST a haircut,” Stickler captioned her upload. “Chopped the hair, kept the peace.”
Stickler previously hinted in a series of July social media posts that she had a brand new boyfriend, her first since her months-long romance with Bachelor Nation’s Jason Tartick resulted in late 2024. While it’s not known when or why Stickler and her mystery man parted ways, she later was spotted on two back-to-back dates with Mayer, 47, earlier this week.

“John sought her out and pursued her,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly on Monday, October 13. “Kat just broke up with someone she had been dating for just a few months and thought it could be fun to this point again, and was taken with John.”
The insider added, “He has been actively pursuing her, inviting her places and texting her often. She is interested and seeing where it goes.”
In keeping with the source, Stickler’s relationship with Mayer is “still very recent” and he or she’s “having fun.” (Neither Stickler nor Mayer have publicly addressed their connection. Us reached out for comment.)
Kat, who shares daughter MK with ex-husband Mike Stickler, isn’t any stranger to dating in the general public eye. She dated Tartick, 36, for six months in 2024 before calling it quits.

“With two back-to-back hurricanes, I obviously didn’t think it was the suitable time to discuss my personal life. Numerous you’ve got already guessed, and yes, Jason and I actually have broken up,” Kat said in an October 2024 social media video. “It was amicable. It just didn’t work. I don’t wish to discuss it. Just desired to let you know.”
She continued, “I understand that with posting a relationship online, you furthermore may have to point out this side [and] the aftermath. I just desired to let you know guys, and it’s not love wasted. I feel like sometimes it’s really easy to think when a relationship ends that the love was wasted but love isn’t wasted. That’s all I actually have to say.”
Tartick, meanwhile, has since been pleased to see Kat move on. In an Instagram Story Q&A session this summer, Tartick was even asked if he saw that his now-ex “hard-launched a brand new relationship.”
“No. First seeing this Q rn,” Tartick wrote in July. “She deserves one of the best in life. Truly pleased for her.”
