Mikel Arteta insists he’s ‘very glad’ with Eberechi Eze’s performances after Arsenal’s 1-0 win against Fulham.

Eze is yet to attain and has registered two assists in six Premier League appearances for Arsenal following his £68 million move from Crystal Palace in the summertime transfer window.

The 27-year-old struggled to make an impact at Craven Cottage on Saturday night and was replaced within the 62nd minute as Leandro Trossard’s goal within the second half sealed the victory for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Eze is able to playing in multiple positions and within the absence of MartinOdegaard, who’s sidelined with a knee injury until mid-November, Arteta has indicated that the England international will proceed for use in numerous areas in Arsenal’s attack.

When asked about Eze’s display against Fulham, Arteta said: ‘He’s more used to attacking open spaces and breaks and facing and carrying the ball with space in front of him, he’s so good and cozy doing that.

‘He had his moments today, he put Viktor a couple of times through in really good spaces and that perhaps if it finished in a goal it might’ve looked a bit different.

‘But I’m very glad with what he’s doing and we are able to use him in numerous positions. Today we used him in that one and we are able to carry on attempting to improve.’

Arteta also praised Trossard’s ‘intuition’ after he scored Arsenal’s winner from close range after Gabriel’s flick-on from a corner.

‘He has this quality to create these magic moments when the team needs it essentially the most and that intuition and he’s in the fitting place in the fitting moment and that’s an enormous quality for the team and an enormous weapon for us,’ Arteta said.

‘So, I’m really glad. I believe he’s been very, excellent in recent weeks and now we’ve plenty of players in a very high emotional state and performance level, which is admittedly good to see.’
