Enzo Maresca has been warned to not pile pressure on Chelsea teenager Estevao, who has ‘done nothing’ to this point within the Premier League.
The 18-year-old, widely considered among the finest young prospects in South America, was wanted by a number of top European clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United.
Nonetheless, it was Chelsea who managed to secure a deal for the winger last 12 months, with Estevao completing his £29 million move from Palmeiras over the summer.
The Brazilian has shown in flashes his frightening ability, most memorably coming off the bench to attain the winner at Stamford Bridge against the defending champions Liverpool.
Maresca has been careful to not rush Estevao within the early stages since his move, giving him just 4 starts in the primary 11 league games of the season.

And former Liverpool winger John Barnes believes the Italian coach is taking the suitable approach with the teenager, who he believes has not yet proven himself to be anything aside from a prospect to this point.
‘Estevao is a young player who has come into the team and is doing well in the meanwhile,’ he told Video Gamer.
‘Nonetheless, I remember Jadon Sancho doing the identical thing and based off that I are inclined to leave opinions on young players alone and wait for them to grow. We will’t start putting pressure on him yet.

‘In point of fact, he’s had 10 good games… he’s done nothing! He’s got a lot of potential, but we’ve seen that at Chelsea before and there’s a lot of examples where it hasn’t worked out.
‘He’s not going to be a starter every week because they’ve so many players and abruptly, if he has just a few below-par performances, we may very well be writing him off after one other 10 games.
‘He has good potential, a lot of ability and he generally is a excellent player, but at this moment in time he has done nothing and achieved nothing.’

Impressive displays within the Champions League against Qarabag and within the Carabao Cup versus Wolves have done little to decelerate the joy from Chelsea fans for his or her latest Brazilian talent.
Asked whether it is proving difficult to stop the hype surrounding Estevao, Maresca recently said: ‘Absolutely, yes.
‘I said already twice the explanation why fans pay tickets is because they need to see players like Estevao and like Cole [Palmer] because individuals are joyful after they are on the pitch.

‘The one difference is Estevao arrived from Brazil, he must adapt slightly bit.
‘Slowly, slowly, he’s going to start out games for us in the long run.
‘I used to be very nervous before this game because they’re the worst games, they’re tricky games because everyone seems to be pondering it’s going to be easy. I can understand first half people weren’t joyful because we didn’t rating, not due to the performance, to be honest.
‘After which when Estevao was on the pitch the energy raised because people loved that sort of player, so we’re joyful he may also help the team and the fans will be joyful.’
Speaking on international duty with Brazil, Estevao noted that Chelsea’s deep squad has helped him raise his levels even further since arriving in England.
‘I believe it helps loads because when the squad is robust, it finally ends up pulling everyone up,’ he said.
After all, my competition could be very tough with Enzo (Fernandez) and Moi (Caicedo), who are actually among the many top midfielders within the Premier League and doing an ideal job.
‘I imagine the educational I’m getting from them is important. We’re very close, we’re at all times together, so I believe this exchange that I’m having with them helps me mature loads.
‘And naturally, it’s that famous healthy competition and we at all times want the most effective for Chelsea, which is our team. I do know that this competition will keep raising the extent an increasing number of.’
