WWE’s Natalya has remembered her conversations with Vince McMahon, praising him for all the time listening to her ideas.
Natalya recently appeared on “Notsam Wrestling,” where she talked about working with McMahon and the way he encouraged her to share and test her ideas.
“Oh, each time I knocked on Vince’s door, he was all the time eating. I mean, he was all the time eating. But I used to be like, I had waited hours outside of his door to discuss with him. And so I used to be like — ’cause that is the beauty of working for Vince is that, and I worked for him for 15 years — is that regardless of what, he would all the time take the time. All the time,” she said. “He would all the time hearken to my ideas, and I might never go in without, like, I needed to have a very like good concept that I might bring to the table that I used to be very keen about. And so Vince type of knew, I feel, that I didn’t just go unless it was vital. He had told me over and over, Natalie — he called me Natalie — he was like, ‘I don’t love the concept and I’ll offer you a reason why.’ And he gave me a bunch of reasons, and this, that, and every thing else. But he all the time went with the ideas. He all the time went with them. He all the time gave it a likelihood.”
Natalya emphasized how she often tried to get more women on WWE’s shows, particularly WrestleMania, recalling pitching to McMahon to team up with Tamina. She said she was keen for Tamina to get more on-screen opportunities, as she felt that Tamina was an “unsung hero” in the ladies’s locker room who deserved more possibilities. He credited McMahon for giving her the possibility to team with Tamina, stating that the previous WWE Chairman respected each her and Tamina’s families, and that they were trailblazers.
