EXCLUSIVE! Children’s Day Special: Anupamaa’s ‘Prem’ Shivam Khajuria Shares His Fun Childhood Dreams

Shivam Khajuria, who’s winning massive praise for his role as Prem in Star Plus’ top-rated show Anupamaa, is celebrating Children’s Day by taking a warm trip down memory lane. Known for his sincerity and robust screen presence, Shivam opens up in regards to the cartoons, dreams, and life lessons that shaped him into the person and actor he’s today.

Shivam Khajuria Goes Down Memory Lanes, Reveals Favourite Childhood Shows

Talking about his favourite childhood shows, Shivam Khajuria says he loved several classics. He shared, “Tom and Jerry was primary. I also enjoyed Bob the Builder, Noddy and Ben 10.” Even today, cartoons make a comeback in his life because of his nephew and niece. With fun he reveals, “My niece watches Peppa Pig and my nephew watches Chota Bheem, so I find yourself watching them too.” He adds, “Sometimes I enjoy it, but I don’t watch them alone.”

Before acting, Shivam had very different dreams. He shares, “As a toddler, I desired to develop into a cricketer or a fighter pilot.” he Though he was good at cricket, he realised it wasn’t his passion. He says with a smile, “If I wasn’t an actor, I feel I’d have been a pilot.’

Shivam Reveals Childhood Sundays Were Full Of Cricket & Chole Bhature

Shivam Khajuria also shares the 2 lessons from his childhood that proceed to guide him within the industry today. “Be fearless and be honest,” he states firmly. He believes each values have helped him survive the pressures of showbiz. “This industry could make you fear loads of things, so taking risks is vital. And honesty – first with yourself after which with others – helps construct trust.”

His fondest memory, he says, is playing within the rain with the neighbourhood kids. “We might run, fall, slide within the water, play football and cricket – no fear of getting dirty,” he recalls. Sundays were out of the ordinary with cricket matches followed by lassi, chole bhature, and long afternoon naps.
