With “Stranger Things” finally ending after a decade, Brown admitted to Variety that filming her final scenes hit harder than expected.

“I bawled greater than I expected I might,” she said. “While I used to be at the purpose personally and professionally for the show to return to an end, I spotted in that moment the finality was so real, and I used to be possibly not emotionally prepared.”

Brown further noted that it “felt like a large milestone in reaching this achievement that was finally coming to an end, like, ‘We did it!'”

The actress then added that the “weight” of this being their final season still felt “so heavy.”

“Stranger Things” Season 5 will consist of eight episodes released in three parts, dropping on November 26, December 25, and December 31 on Netflix.

Brown, who was just 12 when “Stranger Things” first premiered in 2016, is now married to Jake Bongiovi.

The pair wed in May 2024 and adopted a daughter via adoption this past summer. On the November 6 Season 5 premiere of the Netflix show, the “Enola Holmes” actress shared with Entertainment Tonight that one among her closest friends, Noah Schnapp, is her daughter’s godfather.

Despite this, she admitted she also trusts her “Stranger Things” castmates, including Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Joe Keery, and Gavin Matarazzo, to take care of her infant.

“Sadie could be very maternal,” Brown noted. “I trust all of them to be honest. All of them turn into essentially the most gooey soft versions of themselves when their baby voice comes out once they’re round her.”

About two months after welcoming their daughter, Brown shared her thoughts on motherhood and why she and Bongiovi are keeping their infant out of the highlight.

“For me, it’s really vital to guard her and her story,” Brown told British Vogue, “until she’s sufficiently old to potentially someday share it herself.”

She also revealed that her daughter’s name won’t be made public until “she’s ready to make a decision for herself.”

Brown noted: “If she chooses to share her personality someday with the world, like I did once I was young, that is something we might support, but immediately, as she’s so little—as her parents, it’s our job to guard her from that.”

The recent London premiere of “Stranger Things” followed the LA event on November 6, where Brown walked the red carpet along with her co-star David Harbour.

Their cheerful poses raised eyebrows, given rumors that Brown had accused Harbour of bullying and harassment on set. However the two appeared close, laughing together and shutting down feud speculation.

Director Shawn Levy addressed the rumors on the LA premiere, telling The Hollywood Reporter that their goal has at all times been to “create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and secure, and so we did every thing to construct that environment. And we’re happy with the proven fact that we did so.”

Brown even praised Harbour during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying their bond has at all times reflected their on-screen father-daughter relationship.

Harbour has also spoken fondly of Brown, once sharing in 2021 that he felt a “deep fatherly affection” for her, having known her before fame transformed her life. Harbour was notably absent from the London screening.
