Not less than 15 people have been taken to hospital with injuries an enormous explosion in an industrial estate outside Buenos Aires.

Tons of of flights were disrupted on the nearby Ezeiza international airport following the blast.

Footage of the incident showed an enormous mushroom cloud filling the sky, amid chaotic scenes on Friday evening.

The blaze originated in a factory producing agrochemical products within the town of Carlos Spegazzini, just outside the Argentine capital.

The incident also occurred just metres from the Cañuelas-Ezeiza motorway.

In keeping with local news, not less than 20 people were injured in total.
