Nate Diaz places massive underdog bet on Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua after claiming he’d beat each

Nate Diaz has put his money where his mouth is after audaciously backing Jake Paul to beat Anthony Joshua next month.

Beloved ex-UFC star Diaz has history with Paul, going the ten round distance with him in a losing effort after years of build-up in 2023. The pair’s relationship seems to sway today between respect and rivalry, with a possible MMA rematch still up within the air.

Nevertheless, Diaz has most recently claimed that despite insisting he could beat up each men, he thinks Paul will beat Joshua of their heavyweight clash on Netflix. This can be a very controversial take, particularly given the comical size and experience difference between the 2.

Nate Diaz backs Jake Paul to beat Anthony Joshua with $20,000 bet

Although he is way from Jake Paul’s biggest fan, Nate Diaz has backed him to beat Anthony Joshua of their Netflix super-fight on December 19. Just last week, Diaz wrote on X “Paul’s beating Joshua,” much to the annoyance of his fans.

What probability do you give Jake Paul of beating Anthony Joshua?

Now, he’s putting money behind that claim by showing off a betting slip which indicates he has placed $20,000 on the social media star. Paul is a monstrous underdog, and will he pull off the upset he would net Diaz $142,000.

Joshua is a two-time unified heavyweight champion as an expert, after winning an Olympic gold medal. Meanwhile, Paul goes to weigh in around 20lb lighter, is five inches shorter and had his first white collar boxing match back in 2018.

Diaz isn’t picking Paul out of any bias as a former opponent. In actual fact, he wanted the rematch instead of Joshua when Gervonta Davis pulled out of his initially planned exhibition bout with Paul earlier this month.

And Paul hasn’t been too complimentary of Diaz either, saying on the launch press conference for the Joshua fight that he doesn’t care about his rival’s endorsement.

“That’s not likely a very good endorsement since he’s dumb as f—,” Paul replied when Joshua noted that Diaz was one in every of the few backing him to win the fight.
