Alan Shearer has provided his latest Premier League predictions ahead of one other stacked weekend of top flight motion.
In a battle between first and second, Arsenal head to Chelsea in one other London derby with six points separating the 2 sides ahead of kick-off.
After one other woeful week for Arne Slot, Liverpool head to West Ham United on Sunday in desperate need of a victory. An upset in east London will pile more pressure on the Dutchman who has presided over a run of nine defeats in 12 games in all competitions.
Manchester United’s unbeaten run got here to a meek end on Monday against Everton and things don’t get any easier this weekend with a visit to Crystal Palace looming. United haven’t beaten the Eagles at Selhurst park in six years.
As ever, England legend and Betfair ambassador Alan Shearer has revealed his Premier League predictions to Metro.

Brentford vs Burnley
I feel Brentford could have an excessive amount of for Burnley, particularly at home. Last trip I feel they were a tad unlucky, they missed a penalty. Igor Thiago had a penalty first half, scored, but then missed one with the last kick of the sport, but I still think they’ll have an excessive amount of for Burnley. If it was at Burnley, I’d say it might be a tougher game, but since it’s at Brentford, then I can only see Brentford winning.
With Burnley it’s no different to what I assumed, or what most individuals thought, I assume. The one surprise with the teams which have come up has been Sunderland. I expected Burnley to be in a relegation battle. I assume the manager did. I expected Leeds to be in a relegation battle. So, nothing really surprises me.
Prediction: Brentford win.

Sunderland vs Bournemouth
I feel you’d probably see a special Bournemouth away from home, which might be why I’m going to go for an away win. I feel Sunderland, after their game last weekend, didn’t play that well. It was a poor result for them. I assume due to how well they’ve done it’s barely different when it comes to pondering how and where they must be so that you’re now seeing it as a poor result being beaten away from home.
I feel them being disillusioned going to Fulham and getting beaten tells you the way well they’ve done to date this season. Now, they’ve got the best opportunity to bounce back at home. They’ll be stuffed with confidence, but I feel Bournemouth are a team that may punish you, particularly once you’re at home, since the responsibility will probably be on Sunderland to attack, and the fans will want that, and it’ll be an ideal atmosphere again. I feel that may match against them, against a very tricky Bournemouth side, particularly in forward positions, I feel they may punish them on the break, and so I’m going to go for a Bournemouth win.
Prediction: Bournemouth win.
Man City vs Leeds
I assume if you happen to want any game after two defeats, then you definitely would want Leeds at home, and City have gotten that. I can’t see Leeds coming away with anything. I’d be amazed in the event that they did. For Leeds, I feel the defeat to Villa at home was an enormous defeat, due to the games which are coming up for them. In the event that they got something out of that, draw or a win, then it may need been different, but I just think that piles more pressure on them when it comes to the subsequent three games.
Prediction: Man City win.

Everton vs Newcastle
I feel Eddie will make changes again, I feel he’ll revert back to Livramento and Hall. He’ll bring Woltemade back into the team. But it is a tough one to call, because Everton got an ideal result with 10 men at Old Trafford for a protracted a part of the sport. Idrissa Gueye will probably be out suspended.
Away from home Newcastle have really disillusioned. I feel that’s the conundrum they’ve added. Their home form is superb. But I’ve said before about once you’re being rolled in front of your individual fans at home, it’s difficult, you possibly can’t give anything but 100%. While you drop a fraction in football, we all know the differences that could make. Which obviously they’ve done and made too many errors away from home, that’s one in all the the explanation why they haven’t had the outcomes and have been really poor. That has to vary in the event that they’re going to start out and climb the table. We’ve seen what they’re able to last week against Manchester City.
Now, they should put that in again, simply because it’s against Everton, simply because it’s away from home shouldn’t make any difference. So, I’d be in search of them to duplicate energy that they showed, and every part else about their performance against Man City, and we want to see that away from home as well.
This one will probably be really tight I feel, and I’m going to go for a draw.
Prediction: Draw

Tottenham vs Fulham
Spurs got battered within the North London derby. Thomas Frank played the unsuitable system, and it was one in all those, if you happen to’re going get beat, then you definitely’ve got to go down fighting, they usually didn’t really. They didn’t offer anything.
He modified his system against PSG, went in with a more traditional 4-4-2. Obviously scored three goals, but conceded five. So, I assume that’s one thing. They went down fighting, no less than, against the European champions. So, I assume he’ll keep on with something similar with the system, since the demand at Tottenham will inform you they’ll’t be as timid as they were against their rivals last weekend, and that could have to vary, in order that’s why I’m going go for a house win.
Prediction: Tottenham win.
Crystal Palace vs Man Utd
The battle of the three or five on the back, the 2 wing-backs. Each teams play that system, and it’s working well for Crystal Palace. This can be a really tough game for Man United on the back of a very poor performance against Everton.
Man United have injuries, Cunha was out the opposite day and Zirkzee got here in, and it didn’t really work for them, but they’re going to lose players anyway when the African Cup Nation comes along. They’re going to lose Mbuemo and one or two others, in order that they’re going to should address that and that’s where it can be tough to get consistency. There was an improvement.
Amorim will wish to ignore that game on Monday evening, but that’s easier said than done. It happened, they usually were really poor, they usually’ve now got the possibility to get it out of the system against Crystal Palace. That’s how they get around it, getting the correct result again, but I’m undecided they may.
Palace are flying, they’re fifth within the league they usually’ve got some really good players. The one thing was their trip away in Europe on Thursday night, which can hinder them. But I’m going to go for a house win, because I feel they’re a wonderful side.
Prediction: Crystal Palace win.

West Ham vs Liverpool
I haven’t got a clue what to anticipate from Liverpool. Well, I should do, actually, because they’re going to concede goals, and the worrying thing is the style of their defeats. It gives me no confidence to say that they might go to West Ham and win.
West Ham went 2-0 up at Bournemouth, threw the two-goal lead away, they got a degree in the long run, but they got battered within the second half at Bournemouth.
I’m not confident, but I’ll go for Liverpool away a win.
Prediction: Liverpool win.

Aston Villa vs Wolves
Wolves were in search of a brand new manager bounce, but I assume a touch of reality will need to have set in with Rob, when it comes to at being and residential and getting beat the way in which they did.
I’d be amazed in the event that they go there and get something, but you never know in derby games. I assume if you happen to are on a run like this and go and win a game, then it might be a derby game, because some strange things happening in those matches.
But I’m undecided I can see that occuring at Villa Park, and I feel Villa could have an excessive amount of for them, even in the event that they have been playing in Europe.
It won’t be long before Wolves fans are Derby’s lowest points record, and what I’ve seen from Wolves is that there’s a danger that record could go. I haven’t seen anything to suggest anything in another way. Two points and 7 goals in 12 games. I mean, you’d should be pretty awful to interrupt that record, but I’ve not seen anything yet in Wolves that tell me that they might get as many points as that.
Prediction: Aston Villa win.
Nottingham Forest vs Brighton
Brighton winning last weekend, albeit Brentford missed the penalty. Forest going to Liverpool and winning in the way in which they did. I feel Forest will attempt to entice them onto them, especially with the way in which they’re playing, they may attempt to hit them on the break.
Brighton have done okay, but I just think with the job that Sean Dyche is doing, and the result last weekend, and the idea and the boldness they’ll get from that, so, I’m going to go for a house win.
You get the sensation that it must have been Dyche replacing Nuno, when as a substitute it was Postecoglou since it’s his form of team, it’s his form of setup, it was ideal for him, they usually’ve gone for that, and already the players are responding, so he’s doing an ideal job.
Prediction: Nottingham Forest win.

Chelsea vs Arsenal
This has all of the ingredients of being an ideal game. I used to be hugely impressed with Chelsea against Barcelona, but I’ve been massively impressed with Arsenal all season, in every competition.
Chelsea have had an additional day’s rest and which may factor into it, but I just think due to how good Arsenal are, and the way they’ll rotate and make one or two changes without it impacting them I’m going to say Arsenal will go there and win.
Prediction: Arsenal win.
