‘I don’t think it’s something major, but enough to not be involved in the sport.’

Mikel Arteta has chosen two of his summer signings of their place with Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera starting for the primary time together at centre-half at Stamford Bridge.

Viktor Gyokeres is back within the Arsenal squad having missed the last 4 games.

The Sweden international was forced off at half-time against Burnley at first of the month with a hamstring injury but is back among the many subs today.

Martin Odegaard returned off the bench midweek against Bayern Munich with the captain again named among the many substitutes today with Eberechi Eze starting ahead of him.

Gabriel Martinelli, one other to return from injury in the course of the week, replaces Leandro Trossard who’s not noted of the squad.

Trossard picked up a knock within the first-half against Bayern with Martinelli in to switch him on the left.
