Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Jailer 2 is already creating huge excitement amongst fans, and the most recent buzz suggests that Malayalam superstar Mohanlal may soon join the shoot. Though the team has not officially confirmed anything yet, industry reports claim that Mohanlal is preparing for a brief filming schedule in early December, in accordance with IANS updates.
Rajinikanth & Mohanlal To Begin Shooting For Jailer 2
Sources near the production say that Mohanlal is anticipated to shoot his first set of scenes around December 2, after which he’ll return to his Malayalam film commitments. He’s then prone to come back for an additional schedule between December 21 and December 24. Nonetheless, all these dates are based on industry chatter, because the makers haven’t made any formal announcements.
There are also rumours that actor Vijay Sethupathi has filmed portions for Jailer 2 in Goa. But similar to Mohanlal’s involvement, this too stays unconfirmed by the production team.
Earlier this 12 months, Rajinikanth briefly spoke in regards to the film’s progress when he interacted with the media on the Chennai airport. He said, “Shooting of Jailer 2 is progressing well. The second instalment officially went on floors in Chennai, with Sun Pictures announcing the beginning of shooting on March 10.

Actress Ramya Krishnan also confirmed her return to the franchise, revealing she has begun shooting in Attapaadi, Kerala. She reprises her role as Viji, the wife of Rajinikanth’s character Muthuvel Pandian.
Mirnaa will even return as Swetha Pandian, and her character is anticipated to have more importance within the sequel. Music composer Anirudh, who played a serious role in the primary film’s success, is back to attain the soundtrack for Jailer 2.
