Equipped with a WWE Legends contract, Leilani Kai is a dedicated attendee of “WWE NXT” shows, which feature an entire roster of up-and-coming wrestlers. It’s the ladies of “NXT” which have especially captured her attention, though.
While appearing on “Stories With Brisco and Bradshaw,” Kai opened up about her love for the “NXT” brand and its women’s division, which naturally developed as she’s caught up on the WWE product in recent times.
“I am going to NXT once I can. I’ll ask them and so they’ll bring me in,” said the previous WWE Women’s Champion. “I like to observe the ladies. I just watch them, I attempt to learn their names. I watch all of the matches. I watch all the things. NXT is my favorite because I really like Shawn Michaels. If I do not watch Raw, I’ll tape it. I’ll tape all the things. I’ll watch it will definitely. I used to be within the hospital two months [after having hip surgery], and so they put a TV in there that I can put tapes in and a DVD player. I used to be in a position to watch wrestling in there. I desired to since I had to remain. I don’t need TV. I need wrestling. They set me up where I could watch wrestling there, my doctor did.
“I had a very good time within the hospital. That is once I really caught up on all the things. I assumed, ‘My god, these girls are so good.’ I hadn’t seen one bad match. I would see one or two things I could say, ‘Well, perhaps it’s best to do it this manner, it would be higher.'”
Amongst the “NXT” brand, Jacy Jayne currently reigns because the NXT Women’s Champion, while Blake Monroe holds the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Elsewhere, Fallon Henley, an ally of Jayne’s, is having fun with her reign as WWE Women’s Speed Champion to this point.
Kai Calls IYO SKY The ‘Best’ Employee Of Today
At the peak of her WWE profession within the Nineteen Eighties, Kai enjoyed one reign as WWE Women’s Champion and two as a tag team champion alongside Judy Martin as The Glamour Girls. From today’s landscape, Kai wishes she could have wrestled various current and former titleholders.
“Chelsea Green, Nattie Neidhart, Rhea Ripley, and IYO [SKY],” Kai said when asked to discover which current WWE roster members she’d wish to work with. “I feel IYO might be the very best employee today for girls’s [wrestlers]. I really like her work. I feel she’s doing real good. I feel she’s the very best wrestler in the meanwhile. They’re all good.”

Based on Kai, her essential dream immediately is to develop into a mentor on the WWE Performance Center, specifically with the aim of shaping WWE’s next generation of ladies. “That is like my last a part of my life, I need to be a coach and teach the knowledge that I learned through the years,” she said. “Regardless that they work quite a bit higher now than I did once I was in my prime, their work is so good.
