Making the connection since it’s goaltending and since we’re on the anniversary of Patrick Roy getting pulled in that Detroit Red Wings game, before he goes over to the team president and says he’s played his last game for the Canadiens.
I’m not saying Jordan Binnington did the identical thing, however it has been a roller coaster season for Jordan Binnington.”

NHL Rumors: Will the Edmonton Oilers Make a Goalie Move This Season?
I get why. Emotional, fiery guy, very similar to Patrick Roy but totally different circumstances, right? The rationale that folks are making the parallels are this, I mean, Jordan Binnington’s name is at the very least a bit within the rumor mill.
I believe it’s more just the incontrovertible fact that it’s not going well in St Louis. There’s not a ton of goaltenders on the market available for trade. He’s one 12 months after this one away from being a UFA.
That, being said, nothing broke in that moment. The St Louis Blues know and love Jordan Binnington. They know what he’s all about. They love that fireplace in him. But I do think it does highlight what’s going to go on here.”
