John Cena Never Drank Alcohol Until Having ‘First Drink Ever’ With WWE Hall Of Famer

Plenty of skilled wrestlers wish to live a clean lifestyle with a purpose to stay in the very best shape possible, but when John Cena first got into the business, it was more common to wind up on the bar after a show than asleep in a hotel room. Cena wasn’t a drinker growing up, or when he broke into WWE due to his love of fitness and bodybuilding as a young man, but that every one modified after he decided to select the brain of a WWE Hall of Famer after a show,

“I had my first drink with The Undertaker…I used to be 26,” Cena said during an interview with Bill Simmons. “I even have this sensible figure who could be very stoic, doesn’t say quite a bit, welcomes me in. Like that’s ‘Okay, I understand why I do not do that, but I also understand that I need to do that. I’m okay, I’m going to present this a try,’ and I’m so glad I did because in that one conversation I still–I see us at that bar, among the lessons he gave still persist with me.”

As for what those lessons were, Cena gave some insight into how The Undertaker’s mind worked then and the way his own works now.

“At all times maintain your crew. He never let any of the boys pay,” Cena recalled. “[And] never say goodbye. I got so hammered, I used to be like ‘Man, when is it time to go?’ It’s like go at any time when you would like, just don’t ever say goodbye.”

Cena explained that he all the time used to say goodbye to everybody, especially after he began going to the bar with everyone. Nevertheless, within the means of saying goodbye to everyone, he would all the time wind up staying a bit longer than he was meant to, resulting in what many know as an “Irish goodbye” being something Cena does to this present day, and very like his WWE profession, when it is time to go, it is time to go.
