Lady Gaga briefly halted her Saturday, December 13, concert in Australia after one in all her dancers fell off the stage.
Gaga, 39, had taken her Mayhem Ball Tour to Sydney over the weekend, where one in all the backup performers slipped during her rendition of “Garden of Eden.”
“Only one second,” Gaga (real name Stefani Germanotta) said while interrupting the performance in social media footage. “We just had an accident on stage. Every little thing’s OK, just everyone wait a second, please.”
Gaga subsequently could possibly be heard checking on her dancer, asking, “Are you OK?”
Once Gaga’s dancer, later identified as Michael Dameski, stood back up, the crew continued on with the show.
Dameski shared an update via social media at the tip of the evening.
“Hey everyone, I’m OK. Thanks for checking,” Dameski wrote in a since-expired Instagram Story post, per People. “Pleased I used to be capable of finish the last show of the yr! The show must go on.”
Gaga announced her latest concert tour, The Mayhem Ball Tour, earlier this yr.
“I’m not an adrenaline junkie anymore. I used to like that feeling,” she told Rolling Stone in a November profile, detailing how her approach to touring has modified through the years. “I see all of the fans, and I’m on this big dress, and the music is so loud and it’s very dramatic … and for 90 seconds, I actually have to speak myself out of a panic attack.”
She continued, “The rehearsal of self saves me. Every cell in my body goes, ‘You already know what to do.’”
In response to Gaga and fiancé Michael Polansky, the pop star is an amalgamation of her stage and backstage personas.
“She’s definitely not Gaga or Stefani,” Polansky, 42, told the outlet. “She’s each, and, yeah, they go together a lot better than I believe people realize.”
Gaga, nevertheless, had a rather different take.
“Lady Gaga’s the one that made Lady Gaga,” she explained. “I believe I just feel more relaxed about all of it. Like, I’m Lady Gaga. You already know, this concept that that must be something specific? I believe that’s an old story I used to inform myself. And I don’t really care what anyone calls it anymore. It’s just me.”
Gaga and Polansky have been together since 2019, getting engaged five years later in 2024.
“The missing piece in my life was having real love,” Gaga told Vogue in October 2024 of meeting Polansky. “My mom met him and she or he said to me, ‘I believe I just met your husband,’ and I said, ‘I’m not ready to satisfy my husband!’ I could never have imagined that my mom found essentially the most perfect person for me.”
Gaga’s mother was introduced to Polansky at a charity event shortly before he connected with the singer at a celebration in Los Angeles.
“I went to the party and I kept asking for him and he finally got here over to me and we talked for 3 hours. We had essentially the most amazing conversation,” Gaga recalled to Vogue. “Then, we went on our first date and just fell in love.”
