Diego earned the unanimous decision victory (117-110, 116-111, 115- 112); nonetheless, the fight was much closer than what a number of the scorecards reflected. He outlanded Sadjo by only 11 total punches (128 to 117), and was less effective overall, landing 19 percent of his total punches to Kevin’s 27.5 percent connect rate (CompuBox).
Promoter Eddie Hearn told members of the media after the fight that they’ll seek to focus on a fight with Jaime Munguia in Los Angeles in what can be a Mexican showdown between two popular boxers.
“That’s an honor for me to be mentioned with a terrific fighter like him. Um, you realize that’s a dream come true for me. You already know, at this point in my profession, that’s the kind of fight I’m missing to solidify my profession as a star within the division. I’d be super glad to share the ring with him,” said Pacheco of a possible matchup with Munguia.
Each fighters have a following in Southern California, and a match of this magnitude would place the highlight on two warriors who’d produce an action-packed war that may generate great fan interest. Munguia has lost 2 of his last 4 matches and wishes a terrific performance to regain the momentum and star power he lost after his losses and the failed PED tests he was eventually cleared of.

Pacheco looks primed and able to step up the extent of competition. If a fight against Munguia doesn’t materialize, Hearn has other viable options, stating that he’s already had talks with Hamzah Sheeraz’s team.
Shortly after the match, The Ring also reported Riyadh Season having great interest in wanting to stage a fight between Sheeraz and Pacheco in February of 2026. Either match can be a step up for Pacheco, who’s pursuing a career-defining match to propel him to the highest of the division.
Sheeraz is coming off the largest victory of his profession, a dominant knockout victory against Egar Berlanga. He made quick work of Berlanga, knocking him out within the fifth round on the Ring III fundamental event card.
Each Hamzah and Diego are undefeated, and each are tall, lengthy fighters who can box or slug it out on the within. Sheeraz stands 6’3 with an arm reach of 73 inches, while Pacheco is barely taller at 6’4 and has an extended reach at 79 inches.
Stylistically, it will be a really interesting matchup. With it being pursued by Riyadh Season, it could potentially be in negotiations soon, as they’ve shown no difficulty in finalizing deals.
