Based on the Latest York Post, Songz, whose government name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson, was partying on the Dramma Night Club in Times Square on Sunday, December 4. Around 4:25 a.m., an worker reportedly told him that the club was closing, which allegedly made him turn out to be “needlessly irate.” In turn, Songz reportedly punched the employee in his face.

Subsequently, and more recently, on the morning of Sunday, December 14, Songz was reportedly escorted out at Mira restaurant and hookah lounge in Manhattan. This, because he reportedly damaged “$1,500 value of restaurant property, including hookahs, DJ equipment, and sofas.”

The Singer Is Arraigned — Here’s More On His Charges

Per the outlet, Songz appeared in court on Sunday, December 14, for his arraignment. He was reportedly charged with “five misdemeanor assault and harassment counts” for the December 4 incident, per Billboard. Moreover, he was also charged with a felony “mischief within the second degree” in reference to the Mira incident. TMZ reports that Songz pleaded not guilty to the costs, while Billboard adds that the singer “faces as much as seven years in prison” for the felony.

Ultimately, the nightclub worker was reportedly given an order of protection against the singer as Songz was subsequently released from custody. The singer’s attorney, Mitchell Schuster, reportedly told the press that the newest fiasco occurred because of this of a gaggle that “instigated a confrontation and attempted to surround” Songz.

“Last night, Trey was confronted by individuals who instigated a confrontation and attempted to surround him. His security intervened to guard him and contain the situation, and an altercation occurred in the following confusion. Public figures are sometimes treated as targets for instigation in pursuit of headlines or financial gain. Trey is cooperating fully in each matters, and we’re confident the total context and facts will come to light,” Schuster reportedly stated.

The Latest York Post reports that the singer is due back in court on February 18.
