“We still know 70, 80% of all information continues to be on-prem or at the sting, and it’s stabilized now,” he said. “A 3rd of use cases are going to be within the cloud, two thirds are going to be on-prem, AI is putting much more pressure on ‘why do on-prem,’ because that’s where your most beneficial asset, the fuel of what we call the AI Factory is, it’s your data. It’s the way you’re going to distinguish.”

Grocott spoke with theCUBE Research’s Dave Vellante and Savannah Peterson at Dell Technologies World, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. Hugging Face is certainly one of the most important ecosystems that’s helping customers deploy, understand and reap the benefits of AI technology really quickly,” he said. “Obviously Meta was on stage with us as well. Llama 3 is actually driving the innovation of the most important open source models on the market. So I feel alternative and adaptability, whether it’s the style of technology you’re deploying on the placement, edge, core, cloud after which the ecosystem. You’ve got to construct that out.”

The long run of AI within the tech industry is brimming with potential. The advancements in AI will not be only about technology but additionally in regards to the strategic use of information and collaboration, Grocott added.

“Just two months ago, we launched the Dell AI Factory, which is our perspective of what are the appropriate products, solutions, services and use cases that we will make easier for our customers and partners to deploy,” he said. “That’s the thought.
