After Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Lisa Barlow name-dropped Ben Affleck as an excuse to get out of filming for the truth show, the actor is weighing in.
Affleck, 53, shared his two cents on the drama during an interview with Access Hollywood which dropped on Friday, January 16.
“It’s Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, solid member Lisa Barlow is saying that she was with you at an event together with her husband and he or she wasn’t in a position to film. The solid members don’t consider her. So the query is, do you already know who Lisa Barlow is?” the interviewer asked.
Affleck appeared confused as he responded, “I don’t need to get anybody in trouble or – I don’t know what that is – an event in Salt Lake City? Like, prove anyone right or fallacious?”
Access Hollywood’s reporter clarified that Barlow, 51, never specified which exact event she was attending that caused her to skip out on her filming responsibilities, nevertheless it was likely an event held in Utah.
“I haven’t been in Utah in perhaps, 8, 9 or 10 years, I don’t know,” Affleck said. “It doesn’t look familiar to me and I don’t remember anything.
Although The Rip star thought it was unlikely he was on the event Barlow was referring to, he noted that there was a likelihood that they might have crossed paths and it has just slipped his mind as a consequence of so many individuals being at a lot of these events.
“I don’t need to embarrass her because, I say hi to lots of people, I don’t need to be the jerk who’s like, I did meet you… You don’t remember everyone you meet,” Affleck said.
The Gone Girl star concluded, “I don’t think I’m qualified to weigh in on this, whatever this raging controversy is.”

Barlow memorably missed the primary solid trip of RHOSLC season 6, telling Angie Katsanevas that she didn’t need to spend time with Bronwyn Newport, in addition to claiming she was too busy with work commitments.
“I don’t need to spend the night with Bronwyn. She’s a pathological liar. She will’t tell the reality to save lots of her life. It’s like, disgusting,” Barlow said. “Also, I actually have a piece thing. It’s like, a giant deal. I believe what people forget is I actually have a really full life. Because I keep it kinda private. And like, I’m not gonna drop names, but like, I’ll be with Ben [Affleck] and Blake [Lively].”
She added, “I’ll be with Ben Affleck and also you’ll be with Bronwyn.”
In addition to blaming Affleck for her absence from RHOSLC, Barlow has also brought up the A-lister up to now.
Following news of Affleck’s divorce from Jennifer Lopez in August 2024, Barlow shared a throwback photo of herself with Affleck via her Instagram Story.
“I at all times throw a fantastic house party,” Barlow wrote alongside the Instagram Story, which was set to Lopez’s song “If You Had My Love.”
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024. The previous couple initially married in a Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022, before celebrating with a bigger event in Georgia on August 20, 2022.
