Paddy Pimblett threatened to ‘punch Mark Zuckerberg’s head in’ after win on record-breaking UFC event

Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett made some of the bizarre callouts of all time after he scored his first UFC win on home soil.

Since joining the premier promotion in 2021, ‘The Baddy’ has been in a position to showcase his eccentric personality to a wider fanbase.

And on Saturday night, he’ll compete in the most important fight of his profession up to now, when he takes on Justin Gaethje within the UFC 324 primary event for the interim lightweight title.

With the lightweight scrap being the primary primary event of the UFC’s latest broadcast cope with Paramount, the promotion could also be hoping that Paddy Pimblett doesn’t cut a callout like he did back in 2022.

Is the UFC 324 primary event a mistmatch?

Pimblett threatened to ‘punch Mark Zuckerberg’s head in’ after UFC London win

Pimblett made his promotional debut within the confines of the UFC Apex in 2021, where he knocked out Luigi Vendramini.

So it only felt fitting that ‘The Baddy’s’ second outing under the UFC banner got here at UFC London just a number of months later, within the promotion’s first return to the O2 Arena since before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Scouser was matched up against Rodrigo Vargas in what was deemed to be a reasonably easy fight for Pimblett.

During fight week, Pimblett ended up moving into a brawl with Ilia Topuria on the UFC fighter hotel, with each fighters having to be dragged away from one another.

There was some pressure on Pimblett’s shoulders to placed on a formidable performance, especially as before his fight, there had been six blistering finishes.

‘The Baddy’ went on to attain a slick first round submission win, although he was caught with a number of big shots from Vargas which sent his hair flickering.

Nonetheless, it was his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping that ended up stealing the headlines, because the controversial Brit threatened to ‘punch Mark Zuckerberg’s head in’.

“Mr hand sanitiser boy (Topuria) can (go away), lions don’t concern themselves with the opinions of sheep, you understand what I mean,” he said.

“I’ll probably rest, get somewhat bit fat, I done by LCL a few weeks ago, still got in here and subbed a person quick. But who I would like to fight, Mark Zuckerberg, I’m gonna punch your head in, I’m sick of you, lad.

“Sick of you shutting my Instagram accounts down, when all I do is help charities and help individuals with mental health problems, you’re the most important bully on the earth, lad.”

Pimblett offers major weight update ahead of UFC 324 clash

Throughout his UFC tenure, fans have consistently talked about Pimblett’s tendency to get off form when he’s out of camp.

Actually, the UFC star once admitted that he sometimes balloons as much as over 210lbs when he will not be in camp, which he has been warned against doing by several professionals.

Despite that, the 31-year-old has never missed weight before in his profession, and it’s unlikely that he’ll accomplish that this Friday when he weighs in as he provided a serious weight cut update this past Tuesday, claiming he’s ‘absolutely flying’.
