Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz 3 revealed as fans’ top alternative for the Irish star’s comeback
MMA fans have been voting in a poll as a part of TalkingPoints on Bloody Elbow. Over 1,000 readers had their say when asked to provide their pick for who should welcome McGregor back to motion.
Six star names were included within the vote: Michael Chandler, Justin Gaethje, Max Holloway, Nate Diaz, Colby Covington, and Leon Edwards. There was also a ‘another person’ option for those not convinced by the listed fighters.
The result at the highest of the order was as expected, with Chandler and Diaz battling it out. 36.12 percent of the 1,016 voting fans ultimately gave the Stockton star the nod, cementing a trilogy fight between him and McGregor as the highest alternative.
That might be music to the ears of the UFC president after his recent remarks. Dana White rejected McGregor vs Chandler talk, claiming the promotion has no plans to revisit that matchup for the White House event.
Chandler was not too far behind Diaz on 32.78 percent, but he did finish miles ahead of the third-placed Holloway. The BMF champ took 8.66 percent of the vote share, leaving him just ahead of UFC 324 headliner Gaethje on 8.17 percent.

| Justin Gaethje | 8.17% |
