India’s Hardik Pandya pulled off a juggling catch to offer the hosts their first breakthrough, sending Devon Conway back to the pavilion within the second T20I of the five-match series against Latest Zealand. Hardik Pandya steadied the innings in the following over, gifting away just seven runs. Arshdeep returned for his second spell but was again punished, conceding 18 runs as Tim Seifert struck 4 consecutive boundaries.

Within the fourth over, Harshit Rana ended the 43-run opening stand by dismissing Conway for 19. The next over saw Varun Chakaravarthy remove Seifert, who scored 24 off 13 balls.
