The Boston Bruins would really like a top right-handed defenseman. What a few Dougie Hamilton reunion?
Each day Faceoff: David Pagnotta says the Boston Bruins would really like so as to add top pairing right-handed defenseman. They tried to amass Rasmus Andersson from the Flames, but he wouldn’t sign a contract extension. What a few Dougie Hamilton reunion?
Colby Cohen: “Don’t you remember when Dougie wanted out of Boston. And possibly he’s older and more mature now, but like, he didn’t wish to play in that market. He didn’t want the scrutiny. He didn’t want that, that, what comes with, with playing in Boston.
And again, he was a young, young kid. Don Sweeney was on the helm still. I don’t think Peter Chiarelli was still, still running that team. I feel Donnie Sweeney had already taken the team over with the entire Dougie Hamilton thing. So, that was not an excellent ending.”
Pagnotta: “Yeah. I mean, I don’t see, just financially, I don’t, I don’t see that being a fit. Due to, especially the way in which, like he’s having a down yr, obviously, with respect to his capabilities.
And I feel, yeah, they desired to throw eight by eight or around that anyway, with respect to Rasmus Anderson on an extension.
Look, do they need to herald any individual for that, for that right side, that may slot into that top, top two position on the fitting, on their blue line. It’s clearly evident that, yes, they wish to.
You already know, for Dougie Hamilton, yeah, I don’t know, the ending of that relationship wasn’t great. And I don’t know if that’s necessarily something that he would want to think about again, because I feel there’s other options. There are other options that, that he would like.
But this one also comes right down to money, for them. And is Recent Jersey willing to either retain a bit or take back a big amount to make that type of negligible?”
