Padma Shri Honour For Team India’s World Cup-Winning Captains

Team India’s World Cup-winning captains, Harmanpreet Kaur and Rohit Sharma, might be honoured with the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian award, on Republic Day. The Padma awards are presented in three categories — Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.

India, who’re co-hosting the T20 World Cup alongside Sri Lanka, will enter the tournament as strong favourites to say the title. The reigning champions will look to create history by becoming the primary team to win the T20 World Cup 3 times and the primary to successfully defend the crown.
