A Russian father-of-three was allegedly ‘beaten and choked with a towel’ during an argument about sunbeds while at a five-star resort.

The Moscow man was staying at Sharm el-Sheikh, a luxury resort on Egypt’s Red Sea, where he claims British tourists attacked him.

Russian reports say local police have taken statements and opened a criminal investigation.

The person claimed he left his sunbeds together with his three young daughters to go swimming, and when the group returned, they found that ’15 British tourists’ had thrown their towels on the bottom and brought the loungers.

He claims he confronted them and asked what happened, at which point the Brits allegedly touted: ‘These are ours. Get out of here.’

A professional-Kremlin outlet claimed that throughout the dispute, one among the British women ‘pushed’ a little bit girl, at which point the daddy intervened.

‘The daddy intervened on her behalf, but he was then beaten and choked with a rope by the gang of Brits,’ the report claimed.

The professional-Putin outlet also claimed that the victims weren’t given medical assistance.

Footage reportedly shows the British family with a female voice saying: ‘Are you recording?’

One other man’s voice might be heard saying, ‘F*** off.’

Two alleged British tourists – a lady and a person – were seen making alleged ‘rude gestures’ towards the Russians.

Staff from the hotel were filmed attempting to calm the dispute, but there are discrepancies between the accounts, including the variety of ‘British tourists’ involved.

The argument was on the Sunrise Arabian Beach Resort, where rooms start at £155.

Brits are known for annual ‘sunbed wars’, which reached an entire latest level last yr as holidaymakers slept outside on them to order a coveted spot.

So-called sunbed wars are a feature at holiday hotels and resorts in sun spots internationally.

With loungers often outnumbered by guests, a bun fight ensues for the very best spots by the pool.

It comes as research found that individuals from the West Midlands were most definitely to confess to having reserved sun loungers while abroad.

Meanwhile, those from the West Country and Yorkshire and the Humber were the very best behaved, with just eight per cent fessed as much as being a bed hogger.
