Dana White awards snubbed featherweight contender with Performance of the 12 months

Despite January almost being over with, White’s picks for the tip of 2025 awards have only just been revealed by the promotion.

And in 2025, fans were the beneficiaries of several classic fights and spectacular knockouts, with that becoming the norm of what to anticipate within the UFC.

Nonetheless, one in every of White’s picks comes as somewhat of a surprise, considering the incontrovertible fact that he has snubbed the star of a title fight for some months now.

Last August, undefeated British featherweight contender Lerone Murphy scored probably the most brutal knockouts of all time when he rendered Aaron Pico unconscious with a spinning back elbow.

And it was announced this past Monday night, that ‘The Miracle’ won Performance of the 12 months, picked by White.

Despite picking his knockout win as Performance of the 12 months, White has continued to snub Murphy of a featherweight title shot.

Immediately after the Brit’s win, he was picked by Alexander Volkanovski to be his next challenger, but White had other ideas.

As an alternative, the UFC boss made a rematch between Volkanovski and Diego Lopes, which is scheduled to happen this coming Saturday at UFC 325.
