NBA YoungBoy Makes History On The Billboard 200 Chart

While the timeline finds ways to maintain NBA YoungBoy’s name in the combo, he continues making history once more. Just last week, he celebrated becoming probably the most RIAA-certified rapper of all time. Now, following his latest Billboard chart placement, he can add one other major accomplishment to his belt.

NBA YoungBoy Earns One other Top 10 As ‘Slime Cry’ Lands On The Billboard Charts

On Monday, Billboard 200 released its Top 10 album chart. NBA YoungBoy’s ‘Slime Cry’ debuted at No. 6, earning his seventeenth Top 10 album. In line with chart data, this marks the fastest accumulation of 17 Top 10 albums in rap history.

‘Slime Cry’ sold 70,000 total units, driven by 72.6 million on-demand streams and 1,000 pure sales. With this milestone, NBA YoungBoy now ties Drake for the second most Top 10 albums amongst rappers in U.S. history, behind Future, who leads with 18.

NBA YoungBoy Talks Politics And The Streets In Latest Interview

NBA YoungBoy opened up in regards to the meaning behind his previous ‘Make America Slime Again’ album title during a recent interview with Complex. He revealed that it means to “follow whatever Trump applying… in every way… implement whatever Trump’s applying.” Through the interview, he also broke down the inspiration behind the project.

For those who recall, in May 2025, the Louisiana rapper who was previously sentenced to slightly below two years in prison on gun-related charges was pardoned by President Donald Trump.

Through the interview, NBA YoungBoy also shared his thoughts on 21 Savage’s recent “F**k the Streets” movement. He said he comes from the streets and is the streets, but still supports stopping the violence.
