While out of motion in boxing, Oleksandr Usyk has taken his talents to a different sport, where he competed in an expert match on Tuesday.
The undefeated Ukrainian last stepped foot within the boxing ring last July when he knocked out Daniel Dubois of their highly-anticipated rematch.
Following his win over ‘Dynamite’ Dubois, it became an actual possibility that Oleksandr Usyk would retire from the game, with there a scarcity of challenges left for him.
Despite that, it was recently announced that talks have opened up between the Ukrainian and former heavyweight world champion, Deontay Wilder.
But while talks proceed for Usyk’s return to the ring, he has taken the chance during his day trip to compete in a brand new sport.

Usyk competes in skilled football match during time without work from boxing
Back in 2023, the 39-year-old signed an expert football contract along with his local Ukrainian side, FC Polissya.
At the moment, he made his skilled debut, impressing the FC Polissya fans in addition to the club during his short cameo.
And this past Tuesday afternoon, Usyk once more competed for the Ukrainian outfit, after they took on Vancouver Whitecaps in a friendly.
In only just a few weeks time, the Major League Soccer season restarts, and Vancouver Whitecaps are going through their final bits of preparation for the season ahead.
Through the friendly, Usyk got here on for the ultimate quarter-hour, helping his side secure a 2-0 victory.
“Polissya and Vancouver Whitecaps. Glad to step onto the pitch and provides it my all,” Usyk said in a post on X.
“Big because of my team FC Polissya for the support, character, and full commitment on the sphere!”
Usyk played alongside German football legend
Through the match, Usyk played against German footballing legend, Thomas Muller.
Muller played over 500 skilled games for one among the largest clubs on the earth, Bayern Munich, and through that point, he accrued 131 appearances for the German national team.
