‘The Gypsy King’ is back.
Tyson Fury is not any stranger to coming out of retirement, and his latest short-lived stint away from the boxing ring will come to an end on April 11.
Fury announced his comeback firstly of 2026, having initially called time on his profession after his second consecutive defeat to ex-undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.
The previous unified heavyweight king likely has a giant fight awaiting him down the road, with names like Anthony Joshua and Fabio Wardley being thrown around as potential candidates to share the squared circle with Fury.
Before that, nevertheless, the 37-year-old must first get through a 21-2 pro who has 19 knockouts.

Before turning his attention to an enormous pay-per-view clash with a fellow superstar, Fury was at all times expected to return with a warm-up bout.
That was made official on Wednesday, with Netflix announcing on social media that ‘The Gypsy King’ will fight Arslanbek Makhmudov on the streaming platform on April 11.
The Russian heavyweight is understood for his power, having won 19 of his 21 boxing triumphs via knockout. He most recently beat Fury’s fellow countryman, Dave Allen, via unanimous decision last October to win the WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title.
‘Lion’ has won two fights since his second profession loss, and the 36-year-old will now look to record his biggest victory thus far by pulling off an almighty upset.
Fury vs Makhmudov will happen in the UK, marking Netflix’s first live event broadcast from the UK.
The particular venue and undercard are expected to be revealed in the approaching weeks.

Despite falling short twice against Usyk, Fury has not lost hope of handing the ‘The Cat’ his very first defeat contained in the ring.
After announcing his return to the game, Fury revealed his opponent hitlist, featuring each Joshua and Wardley.
Joining them was a trilogy fight with the Ukrainian champion, who defeated the Briton via unanimous decision of their rematch after dropping one scorecard to Fury the primary time around.
