Alexander Volkanovski serenades fans during lighthearted UFC 325 press conference

Lopes joined the Aussie fans by getting one other taste of the featherweight champ’s singing voice at Thursday’s UFC 325 press conference.

Volkanovski has proven to be one in all the funnier personalities in mixed martial arts, from his comedy skits on social media to his press conference attire.

After Ilia Topuria used his age as trash talk in 2024, Volkanovski dressed as an old man before UFC 298. This time around, the 37-year-old arrived on stage in Sydney wearing an apron.

Volkanovski is thought for his culinary skills and has a successful YouTube series named ‘Cooking with Volk’.

The laughs kept coming later within the presser when Lopes requested a repeat of the song Volkanovski gave a memorable rendition of on the UFC 314 presser last 12 months.

‘Alexander the Great’ obliged, and the adoring crowd was loving it.

Alexander Volkanovski shut down UFC 325 retirement talk

Some fans have been concerned that Volkanovski won’t have many more opportunities to entertain fans on stage and contained in the Octagon.

But amid a wave of retirement theories and questions ahead of his return, the champion has insisted that he’s going nowhere.

Volkanovski shut down UFC 325 retirement talk, saying he intends to flee unscathed on Saturday before making a fast turnaround.

“I don’t know where (the retirement rumors) got here from exactly,” Volkanovski told Ariel Helwani.

“If I were to get beaten up, would I come back to fight? No. But that’s not in my plans. Unless things go horrendously mistaken, I’m planning on going back on the market. Whether it’s the following one taking up an undefeated fighter within the UFC or something like that, that’s appealing, perhaps that’s one I could finally end up on.

“Immediately, I plan on every thing going well, getting my hand raised and taking minimal damage so I can have a fast turnaround and proceed fighting,” he added.
