Ava’s time with WWE has come to an end.
The previous NXT General Manager announced on social media that she has chosen to not renew her WWE contract. In an Instagram post, Ava shared that her final appearance for NXT — and WWE — took place this past Tuesday. She wrote,
“This past Tuesday was my last appearance on NXT & subsequently WWE. Thanks to all who’ve cheered, watched, and supported me through my journey. While my decision to not renew my contract was very difficult, it’s also a brand new turning point in my life. It has been an honor & a privilege to be Ava.”
Ava, real name Simone Johnson, is the daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. On WWE television, she served because the NXT General Manager, a position she had held since January 2024.
She first reported to the WWE Performance Center in February 2020, making history as the primary fourth-generation wrestler to sign with the corporate.
