Terence Crawford rips ‘clueless’ UFC star who said he could kill Shakur Stevenson in a fight

Probably the most recent exchange regarding that discussion got here when WBO and The Ring junior welterweight champion Shakur Stevenson downplayed the skill of MMA fighters in boxing while difficult Ilia Topuria.

UFC welterweight contender Joaquin Buckley reacted by coming out swinging in defense of his sport.

‘Recent Mansa’ caught wind of those remarks and made it clear which section of combat sports he thinks features the ‘real’ fighters. Hint: it’s not boxing.

The controversy over which sport has the superior fighters, boxing or MMA, isn’t too removed from the surface, having raged on ever since Conor McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather.

Athletes from either side proceed to go forwards and backwards, and Buckley got in on the motion by insisting he would decimate Stevenson in the event that they collided on the road.

“Y’all boxers are so disrespectful to us athletes within the UFC,” Buckley said on Instagram.

“Shakur, I’m on you…Stop disrespecting us, bro. We’re far more entertaining than y’all. It just is what it’s.

“If we got here outside right away, I could kill you,” he continued. “I’m not saying I wanna kill you or wanna take you off this Earth, but realistically, I’d kill you if we fought.”

The primary big name to react to those remarks was not Stevenson.

As a substitute, Terence Crawford laughed off the UFC welterweight’s tackle social media, saying he now knows why Buckley has did not turn out to be a champion contained in the Octagon.

“(Laughing emojis) Yeah I can see why he’s nowhere near the highest. This guy clueless,” Crawford wrote.

“Who’s even fighting within the streets anymore? Talking about who he can kill within the streets. He must (have) forgot they make switches for them sort of tough guys,” he added in one other X post.

The boxing legend also responded to a fan who backed Buckley to get the higher of Stevenson.

“Yeah in his dreams.”

Stevenson and others within the boxing world aren’t the one ones who found themselves in Buckley’s firing line.

‘Recent Mansa’ also recently had a bone to select along with his welterweight peers within the UFC, whom he accused of being too inactive.

“At once, the division is on standstill,” Buckley said in one other Instagram video. “The matchmakers know their job. They know higher than me what they’re doing, but right away they’ve got the most well liked division and ain’t no one fighting.

“You’ve got Islam on the market playing Wrestleball. You’ve got (Carlos) Prates on the market partying and clubbing. You’ve got (Michael) Morales on the market twerking and twirling. You’ve got JDM (Jack Della Maddalena) still at the home crying. You’ve got Leon (Edwards) missing again. You’ve got Belal (Muhammed) attempting to sell War Meals. You’ve got Ian Garry watching within the corner.

“We’ve got to get things lively…that’s the reality,” he continued. “I’m able to see what we’re able to doing in 2026 because right away, all of us wasting time. Each individual that’s on the welterweight division is wasting time.”
