It’s confirmed. Finally, a biopic on Bharat Ratna, the Tamil Carnatic singing legend M. S. Subbulakshmi is occurring. To be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the long-awaited biopic will star the very natural Sai Pallavi within the titular role.

While the official announcement is yet to made, it’s reliably learnt that Sai Pallavi has began taking lessons in Carnatic vocals in preparation for what would little doubt be the best challenge of her profession.
“While Gowtam is completing his research on the topic, Sai is watching all of the footage she will lay her hands on to get to know the good singer,” a source informed this author.
The project goes on the floors later this 12 months.
