Dhanush In Legal Trouble? Production House Demands Rs 20 Cr For Delaying Film Shoot

Tamil superstar Dhanush has encountered legal trouble as Thenandal Movies has issued a notice demanding Rs 20 crore in compensation over alleged delays related to a long-standing film project. The production house has also issued a warning that further legal motion will probably be taken if their demands will not be addressed inside the given timeframe.

Production House Demands Rs 20 Cr From Dhanush For Delaying Film Shoot

In response to Times Now, the production company claims that Dhanush had signed on for a movie titled Naan Rudran in 2016 but never proceeded to shoot it. The legal notice was sent through the corporate’s counsel. It alleges that Dhanush initially agreed to each act in and direct the film. Although the producers were open to changes within the plan, the actor reportedly failed to offer the entire screenplay, resulting in the project’s stagnation.

The notice further states that the delay has caused substantial financial losses to the producers. This prompted them to hunt monetary compensation to get better investments made in the course of the early stages of production. The production house has warned of further legal steps if their demand isn’t met inside the stipulated period.

Advocate A. Chidambaram, representing the production company, also mentioned that the project was halted midway. It was because Dhanush allocated call sheets to other movies without completing work on this pending project. As of now, Dhanush has not responded to those allegations.

Dhanush’s Upcoming Projects

Meanwhile, Dhanush has announced his upcoming film, tentatively titled D55, which has generated excitement amongst fans. The makers confirmed via social media that the film will probably be directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, known for Amaran. Together with the announcement, a photograph featuring Dhanush with the team was shared recently.
