The winners of the twenty ninth Annual D.I.C.E. Awards have been announced, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 takes home one other Game of the Yr award. It wasn’t the one trophy the sport took home tonight, because it also won for Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction, Outstanding Achievement in Story, Role-Playing Game of the Yr, and Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction. It’s been a whirlwind for the team at Sandfall Interactive because it continues to set records and collect trophies.
We also had Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 as our favourite game of 2025. From its soundtrack and characters to its overall story and world, there was quite a bit to fall in love with. Perhaps the most important surprise is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 not taking home the Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition, considering that one thing almost everyone agrees on is that the soundtrack is exquisite.
