Kristin Cabot was spotted having fun with a sunny day on a Miami beach last Friday, rocking a tiny blue bikini, oversized sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat.

The 53-year-old mom of two showed off her toned abs while absorbing the sun, months before she’s scheduled to talk at a high-profile crisis communications event in Washington, DC.

Cabot captured global attention last July when she was seen sharing a public embrace along with her then-boss, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, throughout the jumbotron display on the Boston concert.

The transient 16-second moment sparked intense media scrutiny, ultimately ending each of their careers after resignations.

While Byron has remained silent and largely out of the general public eye ever since, Cabot addressed the controversy in interviews later within the 12 months, describing it as the results of “a nasty decision” following “a few High Noons.”

She told The Times, “I might have been struck by lightning, I could have won the lottery, or this might have happened. I’m not a star — only a mom from Recent Hampshire. Even when I did have an affair, it is not anybody’s business.”

The fallout, Cabot explained, erased much of her skilled accomplishments and branded her publicly, but she insists this may not be the ultimate chapter.

In April, she is going to headline PRWeek’s 2026 “Crisis Comms Conference,” with tickets priced at $875 in a session titled, Kristin Cabot: Taking Back the Narrative.”

In response to the Recent York Post, the session guarantees to explore the extraordinary public scrutiny Cabot faced, particularly as a girl, and the way she has reclaimed control over her story.

Joining her shall be PR veteran Dini von Mueffling, who will “share the strategy — each immediate and long-term — that has helped Cabot take control of her narrative and rewrite her story.”

Cabot revealed that she had been told she was “unemployable,” as if “people erased the whole lot I’d completed in my life and achieved in my profession.”

“This could’t be the ultimate word,” she said. Von Mueffling echoed the sentiment, telling PRWeek in December, “You could have definitely not seen the last of Kristin Cabot.”

Cabot also opened up concerning the personal toll, particularly on her teenage children. Her 16-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter struggled with the general public scrutiny that followed the Coldplay incident.

“People would say things like I used to be a ‘gold-digger’ or I ‘slept my method to the highest,’ which just couldn’t be farther from reality,” she said.

She stressed that each she and Byron were already separated from their spouses on the time, and their hug the night of the concert was the one intimate moment they ever shared.

“I … had a few [alcoholic] High Noons and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss. And it is not nothing,” Cabot told The Recent York Times. “I took accountability, and I gave up my profession for that.”

She added: “I’m sure a variety of people will say, ‘That is such a dead story, why bring it back up?’ However it’s not over for me, and it is not over for my kids. The harassment never ended.”

Cabot shared that after explaining what had happened, her daughter cried, asking, “I suppose which means you actually are getting divorced then.”

On the time, Cabot was within the means of separating from her husband Andrew, a stepfather her kids adored. She officially filed for divorce after her kiss cam incident went viral.

The previous HR chief shares custody of her children with their father, Kenneth Thornby.

Cabot said she fearful about how the incident might affect her kid’s relationship with Andrew, describing him as “a tremendous guy who doesn’t deserve that.”

Following the fallout, Cabot temporarily moved to a rental property in Recent Hampshire, telling The Times that she felt as if she was in “too dark a spot” for motherhood.

She faced death threats, relentless media inquiries, and community criticism, leaving her feeling consistently monitored.

In response to The Recent York Times, her daughter urged them to not linger at a neighborhood pool after noticing someone taking photos.

Cabot also reported being publicly confronted by other women while driving her son home from work.
