US president Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform to disclose he’s going to discover and release government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life.
Earlier this week, Metro reported how rumours were swirling Trump would make an announcement after former president Barack Obama revealed ‘aliens exist’.
Posting on Truth Social on Thursday, Trump said: ‘Based on the tremendous interest shown, I can be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant departments and agencies, to start the technique of identifying and releasing government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to those highly complex, but extremely interesting and vital, matters.’

Trump’s post got here hours after he told reporters Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest was ‘a shame’, and ‘bad for the royal family’.
It was also posted amid a backdrop of the US appearing to be on the point of launching military motion on Iran.
Obama made his comments on extraterrestrial line on a podcast with host Brial Tyler Cohen on Saturday.
He said: ‘They’re real, but I haven’t seen the, and so they’re not being kept in Area 51.’

Obama then clarified his comments with an Instagram post where he said he ‘saw no evidence’ ETs had made contact with Earth during his presidency.
Nick Pope, who investigated UFOs for the Ministry of Defence, told Metro Obama’s admission might be prepping us for a ‘definitive, formal announcement’.
Obama isn’t the one former US president to wade into the UFO debate. Alien disclosure has been a hot topic for a long time.

Jimmy Carter said he saw a UFO in 1969 while waiting for a Lions Club event to start out within the US state of Georgia. It’s claimed he, and around a dozen other men, saw a shiny light come towards them then quickly dart away.
Gerald Ford led investigations into UFO sightings in Michigan within the Nineteen Sixties, while Ronald Reagan saw an object behind ins Cessna Citation plane in California in 1974.
