CMG The Label, whom Lil Poppa was signed to, also paid tribute in a heartfelt statement, remembering him as greater than only a talented artist, but a young man with depth, ambition, and authenticity. The label vowed to honor his legacy and uphold his name with respect.
His sister, Orieon, also shared an emotional letter alongside family photos. In her message, she expressed deep heartbreak over losing her big brother, admitting she’s struggling to simply accept life without him by her side and questioning how she’s going to move forward without him.

Lil Duval Remembers Lil Poppa And Addresses Critics’ “Fake Love” Claims
Amongst the numerous tributes shared online, fellow Jacksonville native Lil Duval took to X to specific how deeply Lil Poppa’s passing affected him. Duval reflected on their history, the town’s love for the rapper, and the way much he personally desired to see Lil Poppa succeed.
“this one really hurt me cuz i actually cared about lil poppa. Most of us in Jacksonville knew him since he was a child. And all of us wanted him to win and he was. Cuz once the drill music died done he was the just one left standing. And he deserved it cuz He was really who all these other YN rappers desired to be in Jacksonville. Even his enemies was his fans first. We talked a pair weeks ago he said “i do know i used to be suppose been pulled as much as camp Duval but i been busy but im definitely pulling up soon” and that i said “ain’t no rush it ain’t going no where” now i wish i’d’ve forced it”
A couple of days later, Lil Duval returned to X to shut down critics who suggested the love being shown was only due to Lil Poppa’s passing. He responded, “Ain’t no one showing fake like to lil poppa. He had a fanbase that basically loved him and his music. yall just wasn’t being attentive.”
