Television actress Dipika Kakar is facing one other health hurdle only months after recovering from liver cancer surgery. The actor, along along with her husband Shoaib Ibrahim, recently revealed that doctors have detected a cyst in her stomach, and she is going to soon undergo a minor surgery to remove it.

Earlier, in June 2025, Dipika underwent a serious liver surgery during which doctors removed nearly 22 per cent of her liver. Now, during a routine check-up, scans revealed a 13 mm cyst, prompting immediate medical attention. Shoaib shared the update through his latest vlog, explaining how quickly the situation unfolded.
The couple had attended a birthday celebration on Friday when Dipika’s health suddenly worsened. What began as mild stomach discomfort soon intensified, forcing them to seek the advice of a physician.
Sharing details, Shoaib said, “Today (Saturday) was spent entirely on the hospital. Every thing was nice until yesterday. Kakar had been experiencing mild stomach pain for the past two days, which intensified on Friday night. We went to the doctor, a CT scan was conducted, and that’s once we discovered she has developed one other cyst measuring 13 mm (1.3 cm).”
Dipika added that the pain prolonged beyond her stomach. The actress said, “Together with the stomach, I even have been getting the identical shoulder pain for 2 days. That was alarming for us. Nevertheless, the doctors are saying that the pain within the left shoulder shouldn’t be due to that.”

Meanwhile, Shoaib also mentioned that her ongoing cancer treatment plan may change barely after the cyst procedure. Doctors will now shift her therapy approach as a part of her continued recovery.
Reflecting on the emotional timing, the couple noted that the diagnosis got here just before their eighth wedding anniversary. Dipika shared how the health scare altered their plans. “Going ahead, I might be on immunotherapy, targeted therapy will stop. I’m on the lookout for courage; that is life, you never know what happens. Sunday was our anniversary. I had thought I’d do something nice for Shoaib; we were planning to exit, but that’s impossible now, for the reason that pain that aggravates is severe.”
For now, Dipika continues to deal with healing while drawing strength from her family and well-wishers, selecting resilience as she navigates this latest phase of her recovery.
