Based on Deadline, Hulu is officially moving forward with Coogler’s reboot of “The X-Files” by ordering a pilot. Oscar nominee Danielle Deadwyler is about for certainly one of the lead roles, with Jennifer Yale because the showrunner.
From Hulu’s Onyx Collective and twentieth Century Television, Coogler will write and direct the pilot. “Sinners” earned a record-breaking 16 nominations across multiple categories at this yr’s ceremony, including Best Actor, Best Picture, and Best Director. Coming in right behind “Sinners” was the Paul Thomas Anderson drama “One Battle After One other” with 14 nominations.

Coogler Spoke About His Record-Breaking Oscar Noms
“I didn’t have any expectations when it got here to the popularity of what they [the team] did,” he said. “For me, people just showing as much as the flicks and having a superb time, that will’ve been enough. That’s price all the hassle. But that individuals would consider the craft and the achievements that went into it individually. It is so rewarding.”
The director, who has worked with Michael B. Jordan multiple times since their first collaboration making “Fruitvale Station,” also shared his happiness for the actor’s nomination.

“Obviously, the three of us have been working with Michael since 2012. In order that’s a 14-year relationship. So to see him achieve this recognition by his peers, it’s just the perfect feeling to have. We just feel really, really, really completely happy that they said yes to the project, to begin with, and completely happy for them,” Coogler said.
