“I’m Just Glad We Got It Done”: Harry Brook On His Match-Winning Innings
For his good century, Harry Brook was named Player of the Match. Speaking on the post-match presentation, the England captain said he was pleased to have steered his side to victory. He stated [as quoted by ESPNcricinfo]:
“Just nice to get through to the semis. We have now another game against Latest Zealand and we’ll deal with that, but then. [On his move to No. 3] Baz got here to me within the morning and said we may change it up and put you up at No. 3. We have now spoken about having the ability to adapt and the bravery to do this was great. Nice to get on the market and face as many balls as possible. [On Pakistan] They’re all the time good.”
“Some world class players there. Just nice to recover from the road. There’s all the time areas we would like to enhance on and you’ll be able to never quite get perfection but we’re all the time striving for it. [Emotions on the hundred] I used to be just joyful to get the job done, to be honest. We were in a difficult situation to start out, and a few partnerships after that. Nice to recover from the road,” he added.
